Obituary of Jo Ann Stamey

Jo Ann Painter Stamey, 66, passed away Thursday November 3, 2011 at her home in Hayesville. A native of Jackson County she was the daughter of the late Ed and Blanche Phillips Painter. She was a cosmetology inspector with the State of North Carolina. She loved gardening with her flowers and was a loving mother and wife. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Carl Red Painter, Lewis Painter and Charles Painter. She is survived by her husband- Danny Stamey 2 Sons- Casey Stamey of Sylva Charlie Mills of Sylva 2 Daughters- Crystal Nations of Whittier Carla Robinson of Sylva Sister- Judy Herron of Cleveland, Tenn 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild also survive Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Lovedale Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Farmer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. . .
