Obituary of Edward Jerry Hensley

Edward J. Hensley, 83, of Sylva, passed away Friday November 13, 2015. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Bob and Edith Gunter Hensley. Ed was a U.S.Army Veteran, he enjoy fishing and was a lawn mower repairman. He was a member of Locust Field Baptist Church and served as a Deacon in the past. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Fairie Lee Nations Hensley and by his two brothers; Dan and Sam. He is survived by his son Curtis Hensley of Sylva Brother- George Hensley of Gastonia And many nieces. nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday November 15 at Locust Field Baptist Church with the Revs.Jason Buchanan and Charles Carnes officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the Service at the Church. . .
