Obituary of Jonny Leo Hoglen

Jonny Leo Hoglen, age 83, of , died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center of Winston Salem. Mr. Hoglen was born September 16, 1932 in Sylva, NC. He is the son of the late John and the late Myrtle (Green) Hoglen. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, David Wayne Hoglen; a half-sister, Covia Dillard; and a brother, W. V. Hoglen. He was employed by Duke Power as a supervisor, maintaining large cell batteries. He loved horses and fishing. He is survived by a son, Jon Lee and Sherry Hoglen of Mocksville; a granddaughter, Samantha N. Hoglen, two step granddaughters, Sadie Hakim and Tabatha Young; a sister in law, Ann Hoglen, a step daughter, Robin Ledford; and a special friend, Lynda Hoglen Willard. A funeral will be held on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 2:30 pm, at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva followed by burial in Lovedale Cemetery.
