Obituary of Edward E. Dyer

Edward E. Dyer, age 84, of Sylva passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at his home in Sylva. Mr. Dyer was born October 6, 1931, and worked at the DayCo plant for 32 years. He loved fishing and working with horses. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Julia (Evans) Dyer; Three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty (Frady) Dyer, and one sister Laura Massey of Sylva. Pall Barers are Jerry Queen, Boyce Deitz, Marty Simerly, Bret Baldwin, Zackery Bryson, and Scott Frady. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Life Path A service will be held on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1pm with burial to follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Cemetery in Waynesville, NC. The Reverends Earl Holden and J.D. Grant will be officiating. Appalachian Funeral Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
