Obituary of Jack Willard Purdy

Jack Willard Purdy, age 87, of Sylva died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at home. Mr. Purdy was born September 8, 1928 in Milwaukee, WI. He is the son of the late Wesley B. and the late Adele (Tagate) Purdy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Purdy Boyer. He served in the US Air Force. He sold furniture at World of Oak and was a residential contractor. He enjoyed NASCAR, the Green Bay Packers, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. He loved living in Little Canada, and was a member of Cullowhee United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pat; son, Michael of Fort Myers, FL; daughter, Judy and husband Ken Nelson, Fort Myers, FL; 4 grandchildren, David and Erica Boyer, Tampa, Fl; Casey and Heather Boyer, Nashville, TN; Katie and Andy Nelson, 1 great-grandchild, Charlotte Boyer; one sister Cleo LaBelle, Milwaukee, WI. . .
