Dixie was truly one of those people that made your life better for knowing her. I first met Dixie about 10 years ago, after going to visit my dear friend Heather Cairns and her mother Pat Cairns, at their mountain home in Cashiers, North Carolina. They referred to themselves as the "Three Muskateers". They had all been friends for many years. She was a regular at their home for visits, especially to play the card game "Golf". She always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. I was always amazed at how well she got herself around and her independence. I always looked forward to seeing Dixie on our annual visits. The last time I saw her was approximately 2 years ago. I was able to bring my newly adopted daughter, Gianna to meet her. Unfortunately, Heather and Pat passed away a few years ago. Dixie missed them terribly. Dixie had a tremendous faith in God and that brought her comfort. It gives me comfort knowing that she is now with her God and the "Three Muskateers" are together again. God Bless you Miss Dixie! You will truly be missed and thought of often!

Dixie was a beautiful girl, a lovely young lady, an accomplished business person,a southern lady and a real friend. She would light up when she spoke of the work she was doing to the "OLE HOME PLACE". She will be sorely missed by all she touched on her journey!
