Obituary of William Tobias Howze

William Tobias Howze, age 86, of Sylva passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Skyland Care Center. He is the son of the late Harry Paul Howze and the late Ruby Lee Knowles. He loved woodworking, making furniture, and riding motorcycles. He was also very active in the VFW and was a member of New Savannah Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran who served as a chauffeur for General MacAurthar for several years. He is survived by daughter-in-law Fiorella Howze, and two grandchildren Nicholas and Serena Howze of Italy; One sister Lena Mae (Carl) Husk ; One brother Raymond (Ruth) Knowles; Nieces Kathryn Knowles (Children: Kevin and Emily Bryson); Jeanne (Scott) Mathews (Children: Crystal and Ricky Mathews), and one nephew Robert Bruce Knowles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Lance Vincent Howze, and Kenneth Howze. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 10th, 2016, 3pm, at New Savannah Baptist Church.
