Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Stacey

Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Stacey ", 67, of Whittier, went home to be with her Lord, Tuesday evening January 12, 2016. A native of Haywood County she was the daughter of the late Carl and Eva Stacey. Libby loved gardening and walking down by the river. She was a very loving and giving person who loved all her babies. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Monroe Franks and by her sister Margaret Frizzell. She is survived by 1 Son- Blain Franks and his fiancée Amanda of Candler 2 Daughters- Tammy Franks of Bryson City Carolyn Jean Standingdeer and her husband Rick of Whittier 3 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive as well as 2 Brothers- James Stuart Stacey of Franklin and Carl DeWayne Stacey of Sylva 2 Sisters- Shirley Farmer of Cullowhee and Barbara Hilton of Georgia Children by Love- Charles Cucumber and Brenda Nations A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday January 16 at the Bryson City Church of God with the Rev. Marty Pressley officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 prior to the Service at the Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice for animal rescue. . .
