Obituary of Bonnie Deitz

Bonnie Deitz, 96, of Sylva, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2016. She was the loving mother of Joyce Weber. Dear sister of Helen Bradshaw, Darrell Frizzell, Libby Gay, Doris Crowe, and Carroll Frizzell. Beloved grandmother of Kevin Deitz, Dennis Cooper, Quay Lowder, Gregg Buchanan, and Amanda Atkins; great-grandmother of Jared Deitz, Jessica Buchanan, Morgan Cooper, Hunter Lowder, Emily Lowder, Tristan Buchanan, Lainey Atkins, Gentry Atkins; and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Woodrow Deitz; her children Thelma Louise and Billy H. Deitz; son-in-law Tim Weber; grandson Travis Deitz; great grandson Justin Deitz; and 9 siblings. Bonnie lived her life to the fullest; she enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, reading, fishing, raising her chickens and most of all playing with her grandchildren. Bonnie was a member of Deitz Memorial Baptist Church, member of the Macon Country Craft Association and in her earlier years she was a Sunday school teacher at the Little Savannah Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a fun loving person that would do anything for anyone. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Appalachian Funeral Services and Crematorium. The service will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Deitz Memorial Baptist Church. Burial at East Fork Cemetery.
