Obituary of Bragaleen Brooks

Bragaleen Allison Brooks, age 69, of, Sylva died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Mountain Trace Nursing Center in Sylva, NC. Mrs. Brooks was born December 7, 1941 in Macon County. She is the daughter of the late Brag and Maggie (McGinnis) Allison. She was preceded in death by one brother.. She worked at Skyland Textile as a payroll clerk for 29 years until it closed and worked for Jackson County in the finance office for 15 years until her retirement.. She is survived by her husband: Robert Brooks; two sons, Tony and Darren Hall both of Brevard; two daughters, Teresa Sheridan and husband, William, of Raleigh, Denise Radford and husband , Robert, of Tampa; one stepdaughter, Marcia Bronk and husband Doug of Lexington, NC; one sister Delores Hall of Sylva, and seven grand children and four great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral service with the Rev. Steve Jamison officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 before the service at 2:00PM. Burial will follow in Old Savannah Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Old Savannah Cemetery Fund P.O.
