Obituary of Bobbie Tippett

Bobbie Harris Tippett, age 79, of Sylva died Friday, February 12, 2016 at home in Sylva. Bobbie was born September 17, 1936 in Sylva. She is the daughter of the late Robert Wilson and the late Marjorie M. (Monteith) Harris. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey Tippett and a brother, Jerry Harris. She worked as an administrative assistant for the local Verizon telephone company for over thirty years. She was a member of Scotts Creek Baptist Church. She loved going to Gatlinburg, her dogs, and helping others. She is survived by a sister, Judy Woody, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 17 at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC with Rev. Lloyd Fish officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17 one hour prior to service at Appalachian.
