Obituary of Edward Lee Bowers

Edward Lee Bowers, 38, of Sylva, passed away Thursday March 17, 2016. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of Nelson and Linda Conner Bowers of Sylva. He loved hunting and fixing up old trucks but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his children. He was preceded in death by an infant brother; Michael Paul Bowers and by his grandparents; Clifton Ed and Mary Conner, Lee and Rosa Lee Bowers. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Regina McQuaig Bowers 2 Children- Everett and Carlee 2 Sisters- Connie Mills of Sylva and Crystal Hoxit of Charleston, SC Numerous nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday March 20 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs.Tim Dillard and Dewey Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening March 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Branch Cemetery in Bryson City Pallbearers will be Corey Mills, Matthew Mills, Wesley Mills, Ricky McFalls, Darryl Franklin, Dillion Hoxit, Shawn McGuaig .
