Obituary of Corey Raymond York

Corey Raymond York, age 25, of Sylva died March 26 in Dillsboro, NC. Corey was born March 14, 1991 in Sylva, NC. He is the son of Carroll Raymond York, Jr. and Kimberly Dawn Webb. He was predeceased in death by a grandfather, Carroll Raymond York, Sr.; and a grandmother Velma Lou Allison Webb. He is survived by; his father and mother; a brother, Christopher Ray York, a sister, Jessica Ashley York; nephews, Jaymin Crowe and Mason Ray York; a cousin, Eric York; grandfather Leo Webb and wife Terri; step-mother Teresa Staffelbach York; his best friend, Brittney Shelton; many cousins, nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Thursday, March 31, at 1:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services, 165 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC with Rev. Steve Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Wilmont Cemetery, Whittier. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service (11:00 – 1:00 pm) at Appalachian. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Appalachian Funeral Services to help with final expenses. . .
