Obituary of Larry Benjamin Woodring

Larry Woodring, age 71, of Sylva passed away Friday, April 8, 2016. He is the son of the late John and Rosa Lee (Franklin) Woodring. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Mary Sue Duvall. Larry loved to hunt and he also loved mechanic work and fixing up vehicles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In addition to his wife Mary Sue, Larry is survived by five children; four daughters Marina Moose and husband Joe, Julie Woodring, Pamela Snyder and husband Randy and Rosanne Tyman and husband Jeff; one son Scott Mathis and wife Sherri; nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; two brothers Willie and Charlie Woodring. He is preceded in death by one son Mickey Woodring and two brothers J.R and Ray Woodring. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, April 11 at Appalachian Funeral Service with Rev. Tim Pressley officiating. Burial will be in Woodring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00pm two hours prior to the service. Appalachian Funeral Services are in charge of arrangements.
