Obituary of Rhea Ann Banks

Rhea Ann Banks, age 77, of Sylva passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Mrs. Banks was born October 11, 1938. She is the daughter of the late Jack and the late Myrtle Lee (Davis) Turpin. She loved doing mission work in Jamaica, teaching Sunday school at Skyland Care Center, cooking, and her chickens. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, and her siblings, Jackie Turpin, Edward Turpin, Charles Turpin, and Darlene Rathbone. She is survived by three siblings; Jimmy Turpin, Louise Nations, and Lyle Turpin, Four Children; Lester Greene, Michael (Nora) Greene, Phillip (Beth) Greene, and Jackie Banks. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Corey Greene, Bradley Greene, and Shelby Banks. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 16th, 2016 at 2pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will be receiving friends from 12 noon untl 2pm at the funeral home.
