Obituary of Bessie B. Cabe

Bessie Cochran Cabe, 101, of Sylva, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday April 16, 2016. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, Bessie was born May 17, 1914 to the late William and Callie Cochran. She loved gardening and was the oldest living member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. What she enjoyed most was raising her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Cabe, 3 sons; Clemard, Paul and Ray Cabe, her grandson; Jimmy Cabe, 2 Brothers; George and Warren Cochran and 2 sisters; Delsie Cabe and Hazel Bryson. She is survived by 5 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 18 Great Great Grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday April 19 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Eddie Stillwell and Lloyd Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon till 1:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wesleyanna Methodist Church Cemetery. .
