Obituary of Cecilia Irene Gomez

Cecilia Irene Gomez, age 85 of Sylva, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. She Was born and raised in New York City, where she worked as an executive secretary until her retirement. She was devoted to her family and friends and she taught us about strength in Faith and unconditional love. She loved old movies and reading about history. She could tell you about any movie, the actors and the year it was made. She loved to dance, sing and laugh a lot. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Gomez SR. and her son, Carlos Gomez JR. She is survived by her daughter, Annie Vanderhoef with her husband, Frits Vanderhoef, and her grandson Julian Vanderhoef. Rest in Peace Mom, We Love You.
