Obituary of Wanda Louise Sutton

Wanda Louise Greene Sutton, age 83, of Sylva, NC passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at a local nursing home. She is the daughter of the late John and Fannie Hooper Greene. She was married for 57 years to the late Bill Sutton, who passed away in 2010. She was a member of Ochre Hill Baptist Church. Wanda loved raising her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two sons John Sutton (Janice) of Sylva, NC, Rob Sutton (Theresa) of Sylva, NC; one daughter Kathy Farmer (Alan) of Sylva, NC; one daughter-in-law Pam Sutton of Morganton, NC; six grandchildren Megan Sutton, Anna Hamrick, Allen Sutton, Katie Johnson Wangrin, Jacob Horowitz and Tanner Johnson. Six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by one son, Ron Sutton and one brother Paul Howard Greene. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2016 at 1:00pm at Ochre Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. J.D Grant officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-1:00pm at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Mornigstar Assisted Living Center and Westcare Lifepath Palliative Care & Hospice for their compassion and care.
