Obituary of Robert Michael Purcell

Robert "Mike" Purcell, 64, passed away at his mountain home in Whittier, NC. Tuesday June 28, 2016. He loved Nascar and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Mike loved entertaining at his mountain home with family and friends and enjoyed traveling and listening to music. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Purcell. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Diane Diez Purcell His mother and stepfather Mary and Jerry Deem of Edwardsville, Illinois 5 Children- Sally Purcell of Texas, Michael (Joyce) Purcell of Ohio, Paula (Jarrett) Forest of Louisiana, Richard Babin of Maryland, Wayne (Elyse) Babin of Louisiana 6 Grandchildren- Tren Babin, Alexandra Babin, Marilyn Babin, Charlotte Babin, Spencer Crosby and Hunter Crosby Brothers and Sisters- Mark Purcell of Virginia, Mary Jo Hammond of Iowa, Laura Purcell of Iowa and Maureen Purcell of Iowa A Memorial Service will be held in Edwardsville, Illinois on July 9 and a second Memorial Service will be held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana pending arrangements . .
