Winston Reed is going to be miss by so many people. I worked with him in the school system and never remember him loosing his cool. He was always a problem solver and people soother. He has such empathy for children that had problems. He worked so hard to make sure all the children of Jackson County started the day off with a good ride to school. I appreciate all he did for the children with severe disabilities and their families. He made sure it was not difficult to get a child to school, where ever they lived and what ever they needed for safety. He made sure all accommodations needed, happened. On the buses and in the classroom. He will be sorely missed by his family and the entire community.
My love to all his family especially Kim and her kids.

I met Mr & Mrs Reed at Ruth & David's wedding. We had about a 20 min conversation about their own wedding day over 50 years ago, and Mrs Reed learning to cook for Mr Reed. In that short conversation their obvious love for each other warmed my heart and left me with a smile that day. My prayers go out to all his family and friends. I am so sorry to read that Winston Reed has died. He was truly one of the finest gentlemen I ever worked with. I worked for Jackson County Schools Central Office for many years. When some were sarcastic, he was kind. When some were boastful and proud, he was humble. I really don't know anyone who didn't like Winston. He always, always spoke of his wife and family lovingly. My heart goes out to you, his family. Thank God there is a better life for him and for all of us.
