Obituary of Virginia Lee Mashburn

Virginia Rhinehart Mashburn, 88, of Sylva, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday September 3, 2016. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Leona Mull Rhinehart. Virginia was a member of Webster Baptist Church. She retired from Sylco Corp. in Sylva and for the past 17 years Virginia worked as the door greeter at Walmart, right up until the time of her passing. She loved her family and her grandkids were her life. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Jake Mashburn, her daughter Gloria Ridley, sisters; Ann Sutton and Beaulah Rhinehart and her brother Ramsey Dills Rhinehart. She is survived by her children; Joyce Evans (Jerry) of Winston- Salem, NC, Jim Rhinehart (Joann) of Sylva and Pat Webb (Keith) of Sylva 6 Grandchildren- Stephen Ridley, Jody Rhinehart, Megan Rhinehart, Travis and Brandon Evans, Dalyn Webb (Jessica) 4 Great Grandchildren- Sabrina, Zachary, Finley, Landry Brother- Astor Hampton "Butch" Rhinehart Several nieces and nephews also survive as well as her extended family at Walmart. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday September 6 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Jerry Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Stillwell Cemetery.
