Obituary of Lucy Marie Grasty

Lucy Grasty, age 102, of Sylva, died Monday, October 10, 2016. She loved crafts, gardening, and reading her bible. She loved her family and was a mother-like figure to everyone she met. She is preceded in death by her parents Jode and Mary Holcombe; her husbands, Buford Howard, and Charlie Grasty; one daughter Mary Dorris Howard; and her siblings Stella Ward, Quinlan Holcombe, Clifford Holcombe, Kelly Holcomb, Fred Holcombe, Nelly Holcombe, as well as two infant siblings. She is survived by 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. Services will be announced at a later date. Appalachian Funeral Services has been entrusted with all arrangements.
