We loved Frank Moody. He was such a pleasant person with which to converse. He always had a smile on his face & a kind word for everyone. He will be missed at our monthly American Legion meetings at which he sat in the same seat each month. Now, he is walking around in Heaven, no longer having to use a walker.

As a former Army veteran and 1SG, it was my pleasure to know former MSG Moody as a member of Sylva Post 104. He instilled in me the realty that "old soldiers" can live a long and fruitful life. I will miss our discussions at the Legion Hall monthly meetings.
May God bless his family with peace and comfort.

What a great man, and a great friend of my Dad's, Luther Palmer who lived in Franklin, NC. They emailed each other right up until my Dad's passing just a few years ago. They had many similar interests, National Guard, radio operators, electricians, and so forth. Many years ago, when my Dad told Mr. Moody that my son, Harrison was in daycare at Little Angels, which was right next door to Mr. Moody, he made many walks to the fence to visit with him. Also, for many years now when I gas up my car across from Mr. Moody's house, I stand there and take in the view of his unique house and always think of him. My whole family, including my mother, Shirley Palmer, have always had the highest respect for Frank Moody. May time ease your pain.

Uncle Frank will always hold a special place in my heart. As a child, I was fascinated by his hobbies, the Ham radio, in particular. Every year, on my birthday, Uncle Frank would send me a 'Happy Birthday' through the Ham radio network. I would get a call from a total stranger explaining that K4CBW - Frank Moody - was sending me a Happy Birthday. That made me feel special and I will remember it fondly for the rest of my life. He used the handle 'Reddy Kilowatt', very fitting for a master electrician. He had a great sense of humor and liked to laugh. I'm sure he shared his joy for living with all who knew him.
