TO the family of Ms. Sutton. How I have often wondered what ever happend to her. Many years ago (46 years ago to be exact), she used to pick me up at a little white store near Mt.Pleasant church. She would drop me off @ Waynesville Jr. High School where I attended. My Uncle Sam & Uncle Tommy ran this little store & every morning she came by there to give me a ride in the biggest car I had ever seen, but to a 9 year old, any car then was big. She would even let me eat cookies in her car on my way to school. She was always asking me how school was going & encouraged me to keep focused & do well. Often she would have me read to her while on our journey, correcting my words or helping me learn new words. After I got to high school, geetting married, moving to Asheville, I lost touch with her. She was a very nice person to me, always with a smile and she would tell me she loved every morming as I got out of her car. She & I were not related except in the fact, she was my ride to school & an encourager to a little 9 year old girl. She always treated me as though I was her own. Those memories have stayed with me thru the years. May each of you look to God for strength, uplifting, and grace to face each day, just as Ms. Sutton did--with an award winning smile. She was so nice to me, just like we are to be with each other, the way God planned it to be. Smile family, she made everyone else smile. Prayers to each of you.
