Kathy was my cousin. I spent lots of time at her and John’s place in Columbus as well as the Mt.Vernon household, while I was at OSU and while Kathy was at her first nursing job after Capital. I have very fond memories with Kathy and other cousins in early childhood, high school and college years. After graduating college, staying connected to Kate and her new family became difficult. She was there as her mother Donna battled cancer. Rest In Peace Kate.

Dear Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about the passing away of your dear Kayce. I was Kayce's supervisor with the State Div. of Health Services Regulation prior to my retirement in Dec. of 2005. She was a very good inspector for us and was a fine person in every respect. The last time I spoke to Kayce though was at her retirement. I will always cherish the fond memories of her and you all should be proud of her accomplishments. She provided a service to many, many elderly citizens of North Carolina. I extend my condolences to all of you during this time of grief and sorrow.
Nick Rose, former Assistant Chief, NC DHSR

I worked with Kayce many years ago in the ICU at CJ Harris. She was a hard-working nurse who advocated for her patients and she was great fun to work with. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

I have lots of wonderful childhood memories spending the weekends with Kayce and Leo and their children. Not to mention Scarlet (the bird) and Buck (the dog). We would go for walks, read books and best of all laugh and have lots of fun making chocolate chip cookies. Kayce was a wonderful person. We first met when I was a young child as she became my grandfather's home health nurse, after his heart attack. From that day forward she became part of our family. I will certainly miss her smile. With love to all the family.

Kacey was a unique and wonderful woman. She will be missed by many who have known her through her work or here in Tuckasegee where she lived with her family.
I truly wish to express my deepest sympathy and please know I am here if you need anything during this time of loss.
I want you to know that Kacey saved my life when I was in ICU and I will always hold a special place in my heart for her and for you.
May Christ give you strength and blessings in the days that follow.
