Obituary of Kathryn Lynn Cowan

Kayce Cowan died January 26, 2018 in Sylva, NC. She was born on April 17, 1952 in Mt. Vernon, OH to Donna and Bill Curran. Kayce was preceded in death by her husband Leo Cowan, her mother, and her brother, John Curran. She is survived by her daughter, Siara, her sons Royce and Rye, her grandchildren Rose and Lillian, her brother Butch, and her father. Kayce graduated from Capital University with a BSN and worked as an RN for much of her career, both in home health and in the ICU. She spent the last several years inspecting nursing facilities for the state. Kayce was an advocate for her patients and fought for the safety and protection of the residents of the nursing facilities she inspected. She enjoyed reading, loved the beach, and truly loved her husband of 35 years. . .
