Obituary of Ollie Mae Cabe

Mrs.Ollie Estes Cabe, 90, of Sylva, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Saturday April 6, 2019. Ollie Mae graduated from Sylva High School in 1946, where she loved playing sports and was in the local beauty pageant. She worked at Chasam and Sylco until her retirement. After she retired she volunteered for the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary where she received her 25 years of commitment pin. Ollie was a member of Old Savannah Baptist Church. Ollie was preceded in death by her parents; Alonzo and Molly Estes, her husband of 40 years; Thomas Glen Cabe, her brothers; William, Eugene, Charles and Ronnie Estes and her sisters; Ima Jean Estes and Christella Hammond She is survived by; 5 Daughters- Cynthia Cabe of Franklin, Sarah Thompson of Sylva, Janice Williams of Sylva, Libby Chovan (Scott) of Hendersonville and Monica Herron (Ken) of Elon, NC 4 Loving sisters; Ms. Opal Mills of Sylva, Ms. Betty Clark of Franklin, Ms. Pat Nations of Sylva and Ms. Kay Allen of Sylva Ollie is also survived by her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday April 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Old Savannah Cemetery. .
