Having known George for these last few years, I was very sad and in shock to hear of his passing. George was a good guy with a young heart, very generous and sweet, at times crabby and a bit hard to decipher, but over all a good person. Once you were his friend, you were essentially in the family, and he'd do anything he could to help you out of a bind. I loved him, as did my co-workers, and others who met him couldn't help but like him.
He loved children, and could tease them to no end just to see their reaction. "Where'd you get that cute little boy?" he'd ask parents as they came into the shop with their ringlet-capped, round-faced little daughters. This would earn him a stern little freckled glare and a retort of "I"m a GIRL!!!" followed by grins and giggles.
I am sad to think what a charming, sweet and incredibly loving person has left this world, and these are the memories that I shall hold on to. Love you, Georgie.
