Obituary of Gregory Scott Brown

Gregory “Scottie” Brown, 47, our beloved son, husband and loving father, left this world on the wings of an Angel to be with his Lord and Savior and his loved ones that were gathered there waiting on his arrival Saturday January 19, 2013. He had a gentle spirit and was a kind man always willing to help others. Scottie loved his 3 sons, his wife and family dearly, but above all he believed in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of The Church of Christ in Franklin, NC and was employed by Quality Oil. Scottie was a track star at Franklin High School and was one of the North Carolina Tar Heels biggest fans. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Griffin and Olia Brown as well as Arthur and Anna Murphy He is survived by his wife Jennifer Caudell Brown 3 Sons- Ryne, Kyle and Adam His mother and father- Warner and Ellen Brown Sister- Cindy Brown Several Nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday January 23 at Sol’s Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Powell and Jason Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Appalachian Funeral Services. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryne Brown, Kyle Brown, Eli Mashburn, Cornelius Mathis, Allen Fortner and Derek Allison. Honorary Pallbearers- Johnny Murphy, Cody Murphy, Kurt Boitin, Jon Shepherd and Virgil Mathis
