I only had the pleasure of meeting Earl on one occasion, however I am very lucky to consider Josh Dowdle one of my closest friends. Josh has managed to excel at anything he puts his mind to and his job, work and personal affiliations show just that. I know that Earl is at peace now and was able to watch his grandson grow into a fine young man, passing traits his grandfather passed to him along to his children now. Most importantly Josh has become the father and husband that most men should strive to be, including being extremely loyal to God. I am lucky to know Josh and by knowing Josh I have had a glimpse into the character Earl must have had. Josh, Amy, Cora and Jackson, if you need anything you know how to get in touch. We are here for you and love you all. Our prayers are with you and the entire family during this time.

My paw was one of the greatest men I knew. Everything he did was for his family. From his hard work to what he did in his off time. Everything he did involved his family. My greatest memory of him is the late nights that my brother and cousins would spend with my grandmother. we would stay up all night waiting for paw to come home from Kentucky where he worked. Sometimes 11 12 o'clock at night. We all sat there waiting for him to come home. When he finally got there he always had half dollars or silver dollars for us all. He would tell us that he dug them up as he worked. He wanted it to be so special for us. He just drove 6 or 7 hours and all he wanted to do was to make us smile. It will be a bittersweet Father's Day this year for us. Although we have lost our paw and our my dad and aunt have lost their dad I find comfort in knowing what a special Fathers Day it is for him. He gets to spend it with his daughter Lisa who we lost 7 years ago, and his dad. But most of all he is with the God. And now the roles are reversed, I believe that my paw is now waiting for all of us to get home. Only through Jesus Christ will we see God. What a reunion day that will be!
