Anyone who ever met Mickey knew right away she was a truly remarkable person. She was sincere and welcoming to family, friends and outsiders alike. That made it easy though to forget she could be tough as well when she needed to. She was as completetely devoted to her family as anybody I have ever known. Her dad, Herbert, and her uncle, Herman, taught me to fish when I was a little boy and they were living at and jointly caretaking my family's camp on the Tuckasegee at Rock Bridge in Little Canada. Mickey was five years younger than I, but I have many memories of her, her sister Marlene and her mother and father from those days long ago, at picnics at the table under the white pine trees her dad, mom and uncle built for us, playing softball in the clubhouse field on sunny days and spending time at her mom and dad's house. On behalf of myself, my sisters Annie and Susie, my brothers Jim, Billy and Doug (brothers Bobo and Mark are deceased) I extend our heartfelt sypmathy to her family. YNJ
