Another Birthday has come without you. You would be 63 as of 2-6-18. I miss you everyday. Our daughter is growing up and misses her Dad everyday. You are always in our hearts. I see you everyday in her. You will never know how much you are loved and missed. She would make you so proud. I hope you have found piece in Heaven. Someday we will find ours.

Henry visiting us when we lived in St. Augustine. This was taken at Fort Clinch. We had great time and it was a wonderful visit. As always, two peas in a pod.

Dear Roys, one and all. We in Vermont share in your loss of Henry on this earth. Our day was always better if it included time with him, always leaving us with a smile on our faces. Our prayers are with him on his journey to his final home where he will rest in peace with God's grace shining upon him. May you all find peace and continue forward basked in the love of your family and friends. With much love, Ken and Carolyn

I was so very saddened to hear about Henry's passing. My heart goes out to his family and friends who will all have an empty place without him.
I've been a tenant of his for 17 years in a place he built himself. I'm reminded everyday that he took just as much pride in building a modest apartment as he did in building a mansion.
Jackson County is a better place because of Henry; he will be missed by all the lives he touched.

Henry Roy was made of these things: honesty, integrity, generosity, industry, humility, diligence, creativity, wisdom, kindness, and love. It was my privilege to partner with Henry in the renovation of both personal and professional spaces, and at times, in the renovation of my own values. In the ten years we worked together, we developed a real and honest friendship, one that could be rekindled at any moment following gaps created by the speed of life.
Henry’s energy, like his smile, was electric. His strength, given his size and stature, was almost super-human. His hugs were as big and genuine as his personality, his banter both engaging and exhausting, but always from the heart. Henry was a simple man with simple tools who rarely employed anyone who could match his Tasmanian Devil work pace or ethic. His tool belt was a magic kit: his speed square, measuring tape, and hammer likely his most prized possessions.
With all due respect, Henry’s poor spelling and grammar were always endearing to me, reflective of an early life in which work had to take precedence over formal education. When I heard of his passing, I was compelled to search through my files just to peruse his hand-written invoices. These simple pieces of paper provide evidence of a man who relied on good work to earn the respect of his trades and his customers. I have never been a name-dropper, but I realized very early on that the surest way to establish a positive working relationship with any building supplier or subcontractor was to open with “Henry is my builder…” Without fail, this simple statement always resulted in a shift in tone from professional to almost familial, as if I had gained conditional acceptance into Henry’s exclusive tribe. What a testament to his integrity and work ethic, and to the respect and friendship he enjoyed in his professional community.
Henry was a rare, authentic human whose presence can be felt in the home or office of every person her worked for. There is not a room in our house that does not bear his hand and his heart, and I can think of no greater legacy for Henry than to be surrounded by his craft, and especially by his blemishes, in the place we call home.
I was made better by his friendship, we all were.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Henry was a wonderful friend. The kind who would do anything for you . He always had a smile on his face and loved to have a good time. He and his brother Albert built two houses for us and they always gave great suggestions to make them a "unique" home. We will truly miss him!! Our hearts and prayers go out to Linda and AlBert and their families. With Love and Friendship, Paul and Cindy Ramsey
