I have many happy memories of the creative, inquisitive, and kind Lorinda. My husband and I are frequently reminded of her and speak of her often. We only worked with Lorinda for a year, but she made a big impression on us in that short amount of time. We will always remember her with great fondness.

Lorinda was the highlight of my day for several years. During late evenings as I worked on my graduate degree in biology in the Natural Sciences building she would stop her work was and we would talk about what I was doing and why. She would share her projects with me too. Her curiosity, enthusiasm for life and engaging personality were always welcome and uplifting. I am sorry our paths diverged to the point that I did not see her after she retired. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

I worked with Lorinda until I retired in 2000 and two of our sons worked with her in housekeeping at different times Roy and Michael Phillips.
She was always an inspiration to those with whom she worked at the Physical Plant
You shall be in our prayers

Dear Family of Lorinda,
I knew Ms. Casey from working at WCU for many of the same years she was there. She was one of those who you noticed on campus, in a very good way--friendly and energetic and engaged with everything around her.
I worked in the library, and for several years my coworker, Dana Edge, would borrow Lorinda's robots for our display cases. The robots were a big hit always.
I am sorry to hear of Lorinda's death, but am glad she had several years of retirement to enjoy.
