From all of us at the Jackson County Veterans Office, we would like to send our sincere condolences to Mr. Hayes Sutton's family. What a joy Mr. Sutton was to know and talk to. He was such a bright spot and he was adored by his fellow veterans. He was a smiling and feisty man and we loved his humor. He was a very decorated soldier and we are forever grateful for his sacrifice, dedication, and honorable service to his country. May you rest now faithful soldier, as a friend, as a father, as a father-in-law, as a husband, as a grandfather, and to all the lives he touched. He will always be remembered and never forgotten. May God bless your family and be with you during these trying hours. With deepest sympathies. Sheila R. Setzer, Veterans Service Officer and David Plaster, Director.

Sherry and Stan, we were so very sorry to hear about Hayes. Your Dad, and Mom too, meant so much to us as do you both. I always enjoyed being able to see them when we went to see Kathy and Kim. We always had so much fun around your family. I know you will miss him but don't you know Ann and he are having a wonderful time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you both very much.

So sorry to hear of Hayes passing. I have fond memories of him while sitting on the front porch at Perry and Mildred's one summer afternoon during a Sutton family cookout listening to him tell stories of his time in the Army. Although I moved from Jackson county several years ago, Hayes never failed to recognize me and stop to speak if I saw him in the grocery store on one of my visits back home. Such a sweet man! He will be missed! God bless and I will keep you in my prayers!
