I feel so very blessed to have known and been friends with this beautiful woman. Bert and Hank were such important parts of our lives and our children's lives. Both of our boys were in their Sunday school class where they were touched by kindness and wonderful Christian guidance.
The many years we all sang together in the FBC choir are so fondly remembered. Bert would not have considered herself an important singer but that is where she was wrong. I was always pleasantly surprised at that beautiful alto voice anytime I sat next to her. But it was that smile-----that beautiful smile! Who could not have been mesmerized by that smile and ever so touched by such a freely loving heart!
We all will miss her.
