Muff - I am beyond sadness at what for me is late news of your loss. I am so angered with myself for allowing things to interfere with coming back down to see you guys after you were so kind and influential in my daughter Emma's life. The fact that Bill taught her to catch her first fish, and you helped her learn to catch butterflies, and that little girl was so full of a glow that only comes from experiencing the graciousness of two people like you and Bill. So as late as it is I wanted to thank you for that. I won't be so brazen as to say I am going to come see you, but I will try and it may happen. You are truly a unique, wonderful, passionate person and I pray that God gives you peace at this time and the gumption to forage on. Even when not in your presence, I think of you and know the world is a better place for your being in it. Our trip to Botany Bay and the rainstorm, all wonderful memories I will forever hold dear and relive. Peace to you, and I hope we do meet again. Penney File

Dear Muff
Cheryl, Kathryn, Thomas, and I were sorry to hear about Bill. Because we knew him for these many years, his death will leave an empty space in our family's life.
Bill was a true friend. He was best-man at our wedding and will always be remembered as a "Best" man.
You and Bill were there for some rough times in my life, for which I'll always be thankful.
Knowing you and your family through the years has meant a lot to us.
Please know that you, William, Comer, and all of your family have our sympathy.
Take care,
BP, Cheryl, Kathryn, and Thomas

The size of Bill's personality was/is only equaled by the size of his heart.
