Obituary of William Edward Lyons

Bill Lyons, 73, of Cullowhee, passed away March 7, 2016 after a brief hospitalization. He is survived by his wife Muff, 2 sons; William and Comer, 5 grandchildren, 2 sisters, 2 nephews and a niece. Bill was a commercial real estate broker / developer and a magistrate in South Carolina before moving to Cullowhee by way of the Florida Keys. Bill had many loves in his life besides his family; hunting, fishing, traveling and later on woodturning kept him busy as did his involvement in environmental politics and the Smoky Mountain Sportsman Club. Bill's ability to never meet a stranger and hear their stories as well as tell his own made him a friend to all. A Service of Remembrance at St David's Episcopal Church will be announced at a later date. . .
