Ron and I worked together for over 10 yrs and he was a great friend. When he retired and moved to Cashiers he invited me to visit and I could not go at the time. So many times we don't go or fail to make the effort to go and see our real friends and I am so sad that I was selfless and did not go. It makes me sad to here he passed away. My condolences to his family and close friends. May the good Lord bless and be with you all.

Patience was one of the care team members in Duke for Ron.
Knowing Ron and Janis has been a very refreshing experience for us. We have very fond memories of Ron and Janis when we visited them in Cullowhee in September 2015. We vividly remember Ron's strength and sense of humor. We will surely miss him.
Janis, Garrison and Clare - you will always be in our thought and prayers. May the Good Lord give you strength to bear this loss.

Dear Janis and Family,
We are so sorry for you having to say goodbye to such a wonderful and loving husband, father, brother and counselor. What a gift he was to everyone he ever met and we feel blessed and privileged to have known him, even though it was only for a short time. We'll miss his warm welcome whenever we pull onto Lakeshore Dr to go visit our family, but will certainly never forget them! Janis, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope to see you this summer!
Love the Reillys

Ron was one of the kindest men I ever knew, just a genuine Southern gentleman. I am so sorry he had to suffer through the pain and indignity of cancer. He is in that place of no pain now, with his Lord. God bless you, Ron, and your lovely family.

Janis - I am so sad to hear the news of Ron's death. He was always so friendly and kind when we saw him at Summit Charter functions. The last time we saw both of you was at that ice cream store in Cashiers. They only accepted cash and we had none so Ron bought the boys ice cream! He was doing a little better at that point and it was wonderful to run into you two. We will be out of town for his funeral service, but I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers and sending light and love. May you find comfort in the arms of all those who love Ron. God bless him.
Love, Andy, Jane, Austin, and Jake Coburn
