To the family of Ed Hendry. We express our deepest sympathy! Karen and Jerry I know you remember my parents, Chuck and Lu Dickson from Maggie Valley. They always spoke so highly of your parents!! Ed did so much to help the Waynesville Seventh day Adventist Church and their building/remodeling program in the early 1970's. He gave so much time and effort and saved the church so much money, which was so greatly appreciated, this was perhaps part of his Christian ministry!! He was always such a caring, kind, compassionate, unselfish man!! In the late 70's my husband, Les was between jobs and Ed took him on as his "helper". He taught him many skills of which
he still remembers. Most of all his respect for Ed grew deeper and they bonded a special friendship. We are eternally great full for the experience of just knowing this remarkable man. May he rest in peace until Jesus returns the second time to raise our loved ones from their graves. Reuniting us in Heaven for eternity!'
With love, prayers, and sympathy to all your family,
Les and Sandie Dickson Spriggle

A man who has lived this long deserves to be remembered even though I didn't know him.

He was our father, our grandfather and a great teacher. He taught us many, many things and we were so blessed to have him in our lives. His great works and strong legacy will live on forever. We loved him.
